Another Gift Bag

Hi Friends!

Today I have a gift bag I made quite a while ago, but sortof forgot about posting it.  YIKES!  It is for my friend's daughter who had a birthday in November.  My daughter loves to put things in little bags, and I couldn't wait to make this.  I used Glimmer Mist for the "B" and I have to admit, I will be using it more!  It just adds the right touch to anything! I used the color "Tutti Fruiti" but I don't think that one's available anymore. Thank you so much for visiting!

My First Bind-it-All Notebook!

Hi Friends!

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We sure did!  I decided on Christmas Eve to put one more little thing with my sweet Mom's gift, and I decided that since she loves owls, I'd make her a notebook with my Bind-it-All.  It was so easy!  I stamped the cute owl from a stamp I got many years ago with my favorite Distress Ink and it all fell together.  My Mom loved it and so did I!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

A Few More Gift Card Holders...

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today I have 5 more gift card holders I made for some Christmas gifts.  They are super easy and I just love to make them.  I feel like I've perfected my bow tying skills and couldn't help but put one on almost every holder!  Hee Hee.  They look festive though, so I figure it's okay!  Thank you so much for visiting and I wish you a wonderful holiday season!

Hi Friends!

Today I have some more gift tags that I have made for my Aunt.  I decided to do some Christmas ones for her, and have to admit that I LOVE making tags!  They are so fun.  I made 20 all together for her.  I hope she likes them as much as I do!

Gift Card Holders

Hi Friends!

I have a friend who has a bit of a hard go of things these past few months and I wanted to do something for her that might ease the burden of buying gifts for the holidays.  What better than an actual gift card holder?!  I was super excited with these and I am even more excited to hear what she thinks!  I cut them from the Wedding Cricut Cartridge and I have to say that they were very easy to decorate!  That cartridge is really fun and doesn't have to be used just for weddings!

Thank you so much for visiting today!

My Creative Time Design Team Call Entry

Hi Friends!

Yep... You read that right!!  The awesome Emma at My Creative Time is having a Design Team call!  I was beyond excited when I read her post and my mind starting going in all directions.  Her stamps are amazing and although I only have one set, I still wanted to apply!

The set I have is called Race For a Cure. The words on it are so meaningful, and can be used in so many facets of life. In August of 2010, my Mom was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease, also known as ALS.  She was given two years to live, and when I saw this stamp set, I knew I had to have it.  The sentiment "Today Matters" has never been more true in my life.  My entry for the Design Team Call is a treat bag I made for my Mom.  She is such a fighter, and I have learned so much about respecting each day we're given and making it matter.   Thanks Mom, for showing me that no matter what life throws our way, we can make the best of it.

For the box, I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More.
The paper was from DCWV "The Dots, Stripes & Plaids" stack

The scallop on the bottom of the box was cut from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy Cartridge.
The paper was from Lasting Impressions the color is "Weathered Black" (My fave!)
The tag shadow is also on "Weathered Black"

The Tag was cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More using Lasting Impressions color "Sweet Tomato - Solid".  The flower is also from TBBM, using "Sweet Tomato - Solid".

I used the My Creative Time's Race For a Cure set for the tag, and the tissue paper.  I used the sentiments "Courage", "Faith", "Believe", and "Today Matters" for the tissue.

Other supplies were brads, ribbon and rhinestones.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  I sincerely appreciate it!!

Throwback Thursday - Card Cartridge

Hello Crafty Friends!

The Throwback Thursday challenge at My Creative Time was to use an older cartridge that had a "card" feature and your card needed to be made with the Halloween theme in mind.  I was super excited about this one.  I used Doodlecharms, but after I got my card done, I realized the "card" on the cartridge is actually more of a long and skinny one, rather than a folding one.  But, I loved how my project ended up anyway and decided to enter it... after all, the giveaway is seriously awesome!  Be sure to check out all the beautiful entries at My Creative Time!

Thank you so much for visiting today!!

Halloween Treats... Round One!

Hello Crafty Friends!

I can't believe it... I have Halloween treats for my daughter's dance class already to go!  I never have anything done weeks in advance... I think I should celebrate!

Anyway.  She wanted a ghost on a tag of some sort and told me as long as it had purple, I could do what I wanted.  Wow.  She's usually so adamant about what she wants...  She loved what I did and can't wait to take them to school!

I used my brand new KinderStampo "Vintage Halloween" set for the sentiment and that sweet face is from Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment... my favorite!

Thank you so much for visiting today... Stay tuned for Round 2 of my Halloween Treats!

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge - Font

Hi Friends!

When Emma announced her Throwback Thursday Challenge for this week, I was super excited.  She asked us to use a font cartridge, but we could use an image from an older font cartridge.  How fun, right!?  My entry to her challenge is about as Throwback as it gets for me... I used Doodletype.  The fourth cartridge I bought for my Cricut!  I used my  Cri-Kits to draw the image and then cut the keys separately and added a bunch of glossy accents all over.  I was really excited about this card and can't wait to use it!

Thank you so much for visiting today.  Be sure to check out My Creative Time! to see all the beautiful entries!

Meet the KinderStampO Guest Design Team Blog Hop!

As you can see from the picture, I was selected to be on KinderStampO's first Guest Design Team!  I about died from excitement when she announced she was looking for team members and you can imagine how I absolutely flipped out over the message she sent me saying I was selected!

The motto at KinderStampO is "Live. Craft. Inspire."  Jessica asked each of her members to take those words and tell you a bit about ourselves:

Live.  I live a great life with my awesome husband of 11 years, and our two daughters, ages 5 and 2.  We have a miniature pinscher who is the craziest member of our family. I have been a stay-at-home Mom since November of 2005and I feel so lucky that I get to be with my girls all day!  It's been so fun to see them enjoy rubber stamping, and designing their own cards and pages.  It melts my heart!  Life really is wonderful!!

Craft.  My crafting style is ever changing. I absolutely love metal, bling, and clean lines.  I started crafting in 1996, using only brass embossing templates and a glue stick... My how times have changed!  My true loves are my Cricut and Gypsy.  You won't find me doing many crafts without them.  I'm addicted to acrylic stamps, and try to use them in most of my projects.  I'm constantly on the lookout for any new techniques or products that I can try. I love crafting tools and have a vast collection of eyelet setters, paper trimmers, and wire cutters.  I really never can have enough crafting supplies!!

Inspire.  I find inspiration in all facets of my life.  Grocery shopping, laundry, pedicures... The list goes on!  I love to get out and experience things, and my hope is that you can find inspiration from all of the amazing team members and get out there and craft!

I would like to thank Jessica for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity.  She is such an amazing crafter and so sweet.  She definitely makes some of the coolest things I've seen.  I hope you're excited as all of us are, and I cannot wait to get started!

For a chance to win some blog candy from KinderStampO, please visit the Facebook Page and let them know I sent you.  You can also leave a comment on each of the Guest Designer's Blogs and one lucky winner will win a prize from KinderStampo!!

Your next stop is Angie Gaa at Scrap Happy Girl

Thank you so much for visiting, and I cannot wait to begin my journey with you!

Happy Hopping!

Hi Crafty Friends!

My project today is one that I found while checking out the amazingly talented Ruthie at www.septemberninth.blogspot.com a few weeks ago.  She is such a wonderful crafter and is always so great to share instructions on how she does things.  She definitely gave me the confidence to try this, and I was SO excited that my daughter wanted to make one for her new Kindergarten teacher.  Thanks, Ruthie!  Be sure to visit her blog... you won't be disappointed!!

Peachy Keen Stamps LFIF - SO PUNNY!

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was SO excited when I read about the Peachy Keen Stamps "Let's Face it Friday" Challenge... We had to incorporate a pun of any kind to our project.  I knew right away what I was going to do, but it turns out that making a card around a piece of meat is not as easy as I thought!  But, I do love how this looks, and I'm sure I could use it for a forgotten birthday or anniversary...  Hop on over to Peachy Keen Stamps to see all of the entries!

Thank you so much for visiting!

The steak is from From My Kitchen and the font is Don Juan.

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends!

Emma's challenge was to use Wildcard and some kind of embossing for her Throwback Thursday Challenge.  I have been feeling less than inspired these days, and thought I'd rummage through the handbook for Wildcard.  WOW!  I love it.  It has so many things to cut and make your own, but I was especially excited about the box toward the end of the book.  Oh My Gosh!  I didn't even know it was in there, and I couldn't wait to cut it.  I needed a box for a friend's birthday, so I was so happy that I found it!

On the "Cute Friend" label I wet embossed the stamp, as well as ran the black frame through my Cuttlebug.  The background on the envelope as well as the card was embossed with the Cuttlebug and the gifts were too!  I just love embossing.

Thank you Emma for hosting another one of your amazing challenges.  Be sure to visit http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ to see all the beautiful entries!

Peachy Shower

Hi Crafty Friends!

I have been trying to get this post up since we had this shower in March...  YIKES!  My computer has been having issues, but I think they have been worked out, so I can finally show you these extra cute invitations my SIL, MIL and I made for our cousin who had a baby girl named Jorja.  (When we offered to do the shower, the first and only thing that popped into my head was "Georgia Peach" and we ran with it!)

The peach is from Preserves and that super cute face is the biggest size on the "Dolly Dumplins Assortment".  (My favorite!)   We made 42 of them and nearly every guest came that was invited.  It was a huge turnout!

Thanks for visiting!!

Father'sDay Card and Tag

I feel so bad that Father's Day was a while ago but I haven't had Internet for almost 2 weeks and it's finally up, so I thought I would post my card I made for my father-in-law and my Dad's tag.  I really liked my Father's Day stuff this year.  Thanks for visiting!!

This my first attempt at using burlap... I'm in LOVE!  It's certainly messy, but so worth it!!

My dad loves snacks of any kind, but especially nuts.  We decided to do a little basket with snacks in it for him.  I completely loved this tag and my 5 year old was giddy that her "peanut" was jumping!  Hee Hee.  Thanks to my Peachy Faces for making those nuts a new fave!!

My Creative Time "Lite" Challenge

I was so excited when Emma announced her Throwback Thursday challenge... She asked us to use a "Lite" cartridge and include some bling on the project.  I knew exactly what I was going to make, since I just recently bought the Wildlife cartridge.

We are about to go on a trip to Yellowstone and my daughter keeps telling everyone that it's her favorite place to visit... I thought I would make her a journal that she could write down all the animals she saw and how she felt about them... or whatever she wanted to write.  I cannot wait to give it to her, and I'm sure the pages will be filled up before I know it!

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to check out http://www.creativetimeforme.com/ to check out all the other entries!

40th Anniversary Party for my Parents

My sweet parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Friday.  We did an open house celebration for them on Saturday and it was a huge success!!  My SIL did the food and got all the pictures ready to go, basically planned the entire event... she let me decorate the 5 tables we had to show my parents interests, and I ran with it:

This is their "Moab" inspired table.  My parents love to visit Moab and do some four wheeling!  I used my Cricut to cut the directional sign and my hubby made the stand for it.  We sure make a great team if you ask me! :)

This is their "Pet" table.  I cut the "Dog", "Cat" out of vinyl and put them on the dishes which were filled with chocolate covered raisins and a scoop that the guests could get their "People Treats".  I forgot to take a picture of the paw prints I made with Cri-Kits, putting each pet's name on them.  They were really cute!

This their "Hawaiian" inspired table.  My dad lives in Hawaiian shirts and I felt this table was a must have!  The Hawaiian shirt rack was built by my amazing husband.  I love it!

I cut this "Aloha" from the "Life is a Beach" cartridge.  Super cute cartridge, I must say!!

The last table was our tinfoil table.  My parents wrap everything in tinfoil...  They even make Christmas trees in foil every other Christmas.  The foil table was a must have, too!  I didn't do anything with the Cricut on this table, but I wanted to show you the cute trees anyway.

Congrats to my Mom and Dad on 40 years!!  You guys are such a great example, and I'm so proud to be your daughter!

Thank you so much for visiting.
