Then for the grand prize after you have commented on all stops along the hop, enter your name and email in the linky tool at the last stop. Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Monday, September 3rd. Good luck and have fun!

Today I have a card I made with a few of Whimsy's gorgeous stamp sets.

Here's what you need to make this cute card:

Adhesive:

Glue Dots® Permanent Tape Runner
Glue Dots® Micro Dots

Materials:

Whimsy Stamps
        Soul Mutts
        FaDoodles
        Enamel Dots

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
        Flesh Color No. 071
        Mustard No. 067
        Pink No. 025
        Yellow No.050

Water Brush
VersaFine Pigment Ink in Black
Distress Ink Picked Raspberry
Recollections Card stock
Bristol Smooth Card stock
Paper Towel
Washi Tape
Baker’s Twine
Baby Wipes or Stamp Cleaner

Tools:

Mini MISTI other stamp positioner
Cricut Cuttlebug or other manual die cut machine
Heat tool (Embossing gun)
Scissors
Paper Trimmer

Directions:

Step 1:

Trim the Recollections card stock down to 4.25” x 5.5” and the Bristol down to 4” x 5.25” This is your card base, and the top layer.

Step 2:

With the VersaFine, Mini MISTI, and the adorable dog and girl stamp from Soul Mutts, stamp one in a corner of a left over piece of Bristol from trimming your card mat from.  Heat set this with the embossing gun.  Or you can let it dry for a few minutes.

Step 3:

With the Yellow Zig Marker, go around the edges of the dog and the bow on the girl’s dress.  Use the water brush to water color the image.  Follow the same steps for the rest of the image.  Heat set the image after each color you add and make sure it’s all the way dry before you add anymore color.  Once dry, use the scissors and trim out the image and set aside.

Step 4:

With the Whimsy Stamps Card Builders Window Die and the Cuttlebug or other machine, make a window in the Bristol white and the Recollections card base.  Use some washi tape to hold the die in place while running through the Cuttlebug.

Step 5:

Using the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, stamp some corner designs in two of the corners of the white layer of your card.  Pick which ones you like that you feel go with your image.  Also stamp the sentiment with the distress ink.  Using the MISTI helps get everything in line and makes stamping really easy.

Step 6:

Use the Card Builder Window die that you like and will fit your sentiment, use the Cuttlebug and cut it out.  Also fussy cut a shadow around the sentiment with the Recollections paper. Tie a small twine bow for the top of your sentiment and attach with a Glue Dots® Micro Dot.

Step 7:

With the Glue Dots® Permanent Tape runner, begin attaching all of your elements to the card front, being sure to line up the Bristol to you the window on the Recollections card base.

This card is so sweet and lends itself to really any occasion whether it’s a new puppy, or when someone needs a pick-me-up.

Thank you for visiting today and be sure to hop along to the other blogs and comment for your chance to win our giveaway!

I like how you embellished the corners of this card. Recently lost my fur baby, so this card made me a little sad, but it is adorable.
