For my project, I used the super cute Autumn Blooms Stamp Set to make these tags.  There are coordinating dies for this set, but I ended up not using them. The flowers and leaves are so easy to use and I can see many more tag ideas with them.

Here's what you need to make this set:

Adhesive:

Glue Dots® Permanent Tape Runner

Materials:

Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Blooms Acrylic Stamp Set
VersaMark Watermark Stamp Ink
Recollections Detail Embossing Powder in Gold
Coffee Filters
Small Clear Adhesive Bag
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in 5 Coordinating Colors:

        No. 260 Deep Red
        No. 060 Brown
        No. 067 Mustard
        No. 022 Carmine Red
        No. 043 Olive Green

Water Brush
6 Die cut tags with a shadow at 3.00" Tall.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut my tags
Twine in brown
Baby wipes/or stamp cleaner
Scratch Paper
Self Adhesive Gems
Craft Mat

Tools:

Mini MISTI
Scissors
Tweezers
Heat Tool  for embossing
1/8" Hole Punch

Directions:

Step 1:

With the Mini MISTI, put one tag in to begin stamping.  I was able to fit 3 stamps on one tag.  Stamp with the VersaMark.  Add some Gold Embossing Powder to the image and heat set it. Use the tweezers to hold it in place so you don't burn your fingers!

Step 2:

With a Zig Brush, run some color around the flower and use the water brush to spread the color.  Follow the same steps for the leaves.

Step 3:

With the same color you colored your flower, run a line around the outer edges of the tag and use the water brush to bring the color inward.  Use the tweezers to hold this piece while you run the heat tool over it again to speed up the drying.

Step 4:

Use Glue Dots® Tape Runner to glue the colored tag to the shadow.

Step 5:

With the 1/8" hole punch, punch through the colored piece and the shadow.  Run some twine through the hole and tie it off to make the tag.  Use the scissors to trim the twine evenly.

Step 6:

Once your tags are all assembled, place them in the clear bag and you're ready to give them to a friend, or save them and use them yourself!

Special thanks to Pretty Pink Posh and Glue Dots for this awesome collaboration!  These stamps were so much fun to use and even more fun to color!

Pink & Main and Glue Dots Blog Hop

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the Pink & Main and Glue Dots Blog Hop!

This cute set of cards is the perfect touch to go along with a birthday gift, or just because!  With Glue Dots® and Pink & Main, there is no end to the cards you can make!

Here are the details:

Made By: Amanda Tibbitts
Time: about 1.5 Hours
Level: Intermediate
Size: Six A2 Cards

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

Adhesive:

Glue Dots® Glue Lines
Glue Dots® Micro Dots
Glue Dots® Permanent Tape Runner

Materials:

Baby wipes or stamp cleaner
Mini MISTI or an acrylic block
6 110lb cardstock card bases cut at 4 ¼” x 8 ½”
6 patterned cardstocks cut at 4” x 5 ½”
Scraps of ivory cardstock to do the stamping
6 envelopes
6 Die Cut Flowers at 3”
Ribbon
Twine
Washi Tape
Faux self-adhesive pearls
Distress Oxide Ink in Vintage Photo and ink blending tool
Clear Box

Tools:

Cuttlebug or other manual die cutting machine
Scissors
Bone Folder

Directions:

Step 1:

Add some distress ink to each of the petals on your die cut flower, as well as the center, and anywhere else you want.  Use the Glue Dots® to adhere the flower pieces together.  Set these aside.

Step 2:

Fold the 4 ¼” x 8 ½” card bases in half and use the bone folder to really crease them.  When using heavier paper you have to really crease them to make them crisp!

Step 3:

On the 4” x 5 ½” patterned cardstock, measure a length of ribbon that will reach about ½” up the panel.  Use a completed flower to make sure it reaches.  Cut this piece so a bit runs over the bottom edge.  Use a Glue Dots® Glue Line on the backside in the middle of the patterned cardstock.  Stick the ribbon that is a little longer than the panel to the glue line.  Wrap it around the front of the panel, adding two more glue lines to the ribbon.  Stick it down to the patterned panel. Then run some Glue Dots® Tape Runner around the back of the patterned panel and adhere it to a folded card base.  With a bit more ribbon, tie a not and trim the ends on an angle to somewhat mimic a leaf shape. Use Glue Dots® Micro Dots to glue this to the ribbon stem.  Place a finished flower over the top to make sure the leaves get in the right spot!  Once you’ve placed the leaves, glue the flower to the cardstock with a combo of Glue Dots® Tape Runner and glue lines.

Step 4:

With the MISTI, and the Pink & Main stamps, stamp the sentiments from the super cute Stitched Greeting set with the Distress Oxide Ink.

Step 5:

With the coordinating dies and a piece of washi tape, line up the die you want to use for each sentiment and run it through the Cuttlebug.

Step 6:

Add some distress ink to the edge of each sentiment and use the Glue Dots® Glue Lines to glue to the bottom of the ribbon stem.

Step 7:

With the faux pearls, add two in the left top corner.

Step 8:

Add an envelope to each card and fill the clear box with the cards and tie the twine around the box.

This set is fairly quick to put together and looks so cute!  Who doesn’t love blank cards to use?!

        FaDoodles
        Enamel Dots

Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers

        Pink No. 025
        Yellow No.050

Water Brush
VersaFine Pigment Ink in Black
Distress Ink Picked Raspberry
Recollections Card stock
Bristol Smooth Card stock
Paper Towel
Washi Tape
Baker’s Twine
Baby Wipes or Stamp Cleaner

Tools:

Mini MISTI other stamp positioner
Cricut Cuttlebug or other manual die cut machine
Heat tool (Embossing gun)
Scissors
Paper Trimmer

Directions:

Step 1:

Trim the Recollections card stock down to 4.25” x 5.5” and the Bristol down to 4” x 5.25” This is your card base, and the top layer.

Step 2:

With the VersaFine, Mini MISTI, and the adorable dog and girl stamp from Soul Mutts, stamp one in a corner of a left over piece of Bristol from trimming your card mat from.  Heat set this with the embossing gun.  Or you can let it dry for a few minutes.

Step 3:

With the Yellow Zig Marker, go around the edges of the dog and the bow on the girl’s dress.  Use the water brush to water color the image.  Follow the same steps for the rest of the image.  Heat set the image after each color you add and make sure it’s all the way dry before you add anymore color.  Once dry, use the scissors and trim out the image and set aside.

Step 4:

With the Whimsy Stamps Card Builders Window Die and the Cuttlebug or other machine, make a window in the Bristol white and the Recollections card base.  Use some washi tape to hold the die in place while running through the Cuttlebug.

Step 5:

Using the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, stamp some corner designs in two of the corners of the white layer of your card.  Pick which ones you like that you feel go with your image.  Also stamp the sentiment with the distress ink.  Using the MISTI helps get everything in line and makes stamping really easy.

Step 6:

Use the Card Builder Window die that you like and will fit your sentiment, use the Cuttlebug and cut it out.  Also fussy cut a shadow around the sentiment with the Recollections paper. Tie a small twine bow for the top of your sentiment and attach with a Glue Dots® Micro Dot.

Step 7:

With the Glue Dots® Permanent Tape runner, begin attaching all of your elements to the card front, being sure to line up the Bristol to you the window on the Recollections card base.

This card is so sweet and lends itself to really any occasion whether it’s a new puppy, or when someone needs a pick-me-up.

CardMaker Halloween Blog Hop

 Hello Friends!

Welcome to the CardMaker Blog Hop!

I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful Blog Hop!

For my project, I wanted to do a box filled with some little note cards for a friend.  Halloween and cards just go together if you ask me!  I used Glue Dots® Glue Lines, Glue Dots® Mini Glue Dots, Glue Dots® Permanent Glue Dots and Glue Dots® Craft Dots along with some black, green, purple, orange and white cardstocks.  Of course I had to use some black and white twine too.  I used my Cricut Explore to cut some cute Halloween elements and a darling Frankenstein Box. I changed the size a bit so it would hold six note cards.  I used the We R Memory Keepers  Envelope Punch Board  to make a custom size envelope.  That is an essential tool for card makers!

After I cut my Frankie Box, I used Glue Dots® Lines and Glue Dots® Permanent Dots to put him together with the handle and set it aside.  I then cut my six 3 1/4" x 6 1/2" cards with white cardstock. Using my Cricut, I cut the 6 silhouette images I was going to use on my cards.  I cut the coordinating color blocks for each die cut as well. I glued each silhouette image to the square with Glue Dots® Mini Dots.

After I had the images on their colored squares, I cut random lengths of twine to add some patterns around the colors, in a line, or doubled up or however!  I just wanted to add a hint of dimension to these cards.  I put a Glue Dots® Glue Line on the back of my colored square and stuck twine into it and wrapped it around here and there on each card, adding another Glue Dots® Glue Line to the opposite side.  I did this for each of my 6 cards.

After I had twine around all my colored squares, I put them on my white cards.  I adhered them with a combo of Glue Dots® Glue Lines and Glue Dots® Craft Dots.  I made sure they were super sticky to hold the twine in place once it was on the card.
Once all the cards were put together, I made the envelopes.  Since my cards were sized at 3 1/4", I needed to adjust the size to use on my envelope punch board to a beginning size of paper at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".  My "Start Line" was at 2 3/4".  Once I figured out the correct size, I punched and scored all my envelopes.  After I used the reverse punch on each one, on the opposite side of the now rounded edge, I cut a small bit of the pointed flap so it was straight rather than pointed.

To assemble my envelopes, I used a Glue Dots® Glue Line on each of the two sides that fold in.  I put the flap that I trimmed the point off right on top of the Glue Dots® Glue Lines.  I wasn't planning on using these right away, so I added one Glue Dots® Mini Glue Dot to the middle of the cut flap and put a film over it so it wouldn't stick together until I had the card inside, ready to give someone!  At this point, I was just about done.  I just needed to put them in my Frankie Box.

I now have a cute little box of cards to give to my friend, and it's more the cute side of Halloween.  Just what she likes!  Thank you so much for visiting today and hopping along with us!
